Herbert N. Glass is the President of the Glass Retirement Strategies, a full service pension and employee benefit consulting firm specializing in the areas of consulting, actuarial, creative design, implementation, design, funding and annual administration of qualified retirement programs.  In addition, plan sponsors and trustees are given fiduciary duty and due diligence guidance.  Services have been provided to over seven hundred pension, profit sharing and 401(k) plans in the greater Detroit metropolitan area.  Glass Retirement Strategies, Inc. is also a Registered Investment Advisor and provides investment advisory and benchmarking services to many of its clients on a fee basis.

Mr. Glass has a Bachelors degree in Economics from Michigan State University and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from the University of Michigan.  During his thirty-seven years serving the pension field, he has earned the following professional designations:  Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU).  Additionally, he is a Licensed Life Insurance Counselor (LIC) in the State of Michigan, and he has a Series 7 and 63 securities license that allows him to offer securities through Securities Service Network, Inc. (SSN), a Broker-Dealer.  Mr. Glass is or has been a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries, the International Association of Financial Planners, the National Association and Greater Detroit Association of Life Underwriters and the Detroit and Oakland County Estate Planning Councils.

Mr. Glass is a frequent speaker to professional groups.  In addition to lecturing to legal and accounting firms, he has lectured for the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, Michigan Bar Association, the Accountants Guild, the Oakland County Estate Planning Council and the Harvard Business School Annual Investment Seminar.  He is often requested to supply case analysis and expert witness testimony in lawsuits.

Mr. Glass was one of the founders and Board of Director members (until 2003) of Franklin Bank, which was a public company listed on the NASDAQ National Market Stock Exchange.  Franklin Bank has since been acquired by First Place Financial Corporation, a public company that operates out of Ohio.  While serving as a Director of Franklin Bank, Mr. Glass participated on many of the Board of Directors’ Committees; they included the Executive Committee, Audit Committee, Compensation Committee and the Investment Committee, that oversaw the operations of the Financial Planning Services Department of the Bank.
